There's no need to pay to see your credit report anymore....In December, 2004 Congress passed fair credit standards which require credit collection companies to provide you with a free credit report once per year. You may order (and I recommend you do this once each year) a complete credit report FREE by clicking on the link below or by typing the link below in your browser and clicking "Go."
You can order one free credit report annually from each of the major credit bureaus: Equfax, Experian and TransUnion. These reports do not include your credit score (FICO) but they will give you a complete history of your accounts, balances and inquiries.
You can order reports from all three bureaus at once (recomended) or you can order one-at-a-time spreading them out over 12 months.
To get a free copy of your credit report just click the link below or type www.annualcreditreport.com in your browser and click the "Go" button ( your can also call and write, see below). You must provide your name, date of birth, Social Security number and current and previous address if you've moved within the past two years.
Once your given this information, you'll be asked to select one, two or three of the credit bureaus whose reports you would like. You will then be transferred to a web page for one of the three bureaus, where you will be asked several questions to identify yourself.
The report will be made available to you to print or save. A link to the report will be Emailed to you and made available for one month.
